Bay area, Oakland, San Francisco. Up to 4 hrs a week for one year. 

Time commitment

Coaches develop strong, trusting relationships with our young entrepreneurs, diagnose their needs, set up and execute a plan to address those needs, leverage YBUSA’s network of advisors appropriately, and – ultimately – get our entrepreneurs ready to launch and/or fund their business. Coaches meet one-on-one with young entrepreneurs and use our Pathway to Business Ownership framework to help our entrepreneurs build their confidence and their business.

Who our entrepreneurs need

Coaches who are entrepreneurial, who can jump in pre-launch and help our young people prepare their business plans amidst their already-busy schedules. This position requires incredible emotional intelligence, crystal-clear communication, a broad understanding of starting a business (including knowing what you don’t know and how to fix that), a passion for and focus on adding value to the young entrepreneurs they work with, flexibility and keen insight.
